Main Functions:
1. The provision of a managed maintenance and repair service in line with the current needs of tenants, within the budget allocated. 2. To be responsible, under the supervision of the Area Manager, for the day to day management of the repair service within a contractual environment. 3. To provide a managerial link between the area level and Headquarters management in all aspects of the repair service. 4. To assist Headquarters in the implementation of the recommendations of the Council`s Best Value review on the Repair and Maintenance Service. 5. To be responsible for the site supervision of the Capital Maintenance Programme under the guidance of the department`s Capital Programme Manager. 6. To be responsible for day to day independent problem solving and decision making to overcome new or out of the ordinary demands in respect of issues arising from the post.
